𝑅𝑒𝑚𝑎𝑖𝑛 𝑆𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑓𝑎𝑠𝑡

Steadfast means resolutely or dutifully firm and unwavering. In other words be firm, determined, and loyal to God’s Word, as one of his followers. The reason why I chose to talk about being 𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑓𝑎𝑠𝑡, is because most of us are not steadfast with God. Meaning we are not being loyal to Him & his word.

Situations occur in our life that causes us to stray away from God and causes us to not be as steady and in tuned with God’s Word. It is very common and something that we as humans do quite often.

But God’s Word tells us in

James 1:2-4 that we should

“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”

When we meet trails in our life we are being tested by God to see if we are truly being 𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑓𝑎𝑠𝑡 on his Word. It is a very hard thing to do when you are faced with trials constantly and you wonder has God left me, why am I going through all of this, is God real?

We question Him and we question our faith to where we give up and forget about God’s 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑚𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑠. God tells us that He will 𝑁𝐸𝑉𝐸𝑅 leave us nor forsake us, He also tells us that He will 𝑁𝑂𝑇 put more on us than we can bear, but we still continue to lose ℎ𝑜𝑝𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑓𝑎𝑖𝑡ℎ.

We need to stay 𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑓𝑎𝑠𝑡 on God’s Word and know that his 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑚𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑠 remain the same. If God said it, we ought to believe it. Yes, this is hard and I am a witness that when things occurred in my life I 𝑎𝑙𝑚𝑜𝑠𝑡 gave up on him and my faith. But what we do not realize is, when we give up on God & lose our faith... 𝐺𝑜𝑑 𝑟𝑒𝑚𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑠 𝐹𝐴𝐼𝑇𝐻𝐹𝑈𝐿 𝑡𝑜 𝑢𝑠. In return we should do the same. God has not left us 𝑌𝐸𝑇 & He will not.

Remember to stay 𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑓𝑎𝑠𝑡 on God’s Word and our 𝑓𝑎𝑖𝑡ℎ. You will begin to see how God is only testing our faith to see if we truly trust him & that we are a 𝑇𝑅𝑈𝐸 follower of Christ.

James 1:12 tells us

“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.”

So if we remain 𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑓𝑎𝑠𝑡, James tells us that we will be 𝑏𝑙𝑒𝑠𝑠𝑒𝑑 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑟𝑒𝑐𝑖𝑒𝑣𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐𝑟𝑜𝑤𝑛 𝑜𝑓 𝑙𝑖𝑓𝑒. Being 𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑓𝑎𝑠𝑡 is a test but also a process because as Christians even we are not as steady as we should be in God’s Word because we lose hope.

But the word tells us that we will be 𝐵𝐿𝐸𝑆𝑆𝐸𝐷 if we stay 𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑓𝑎𝑠𝑡. I believe that God will help those who are actually trying, who has a pure heart & love for His Word. He will help us all stay 𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑓𝑎𝑠𝑡 on Him as long as we have the Word in us and believe it with our hearts. God will help you to remain 𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑓𝑎𝑠𝑡 no matter what trail we endure in life.

My challenge for you this week is to remain 𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑓𝑎𝑠𝑡 on God & His Word. Begin to read and know the Word for yourself because it is something that no man can take away from you. It all starts with 𝑌𝑂𝑈 & what you are willing to do and what 𝑌𝑂𝑈 truly believe in.

Like the Word says, we only need faith the size of a mustard seed. It does not take much, but 𝑌𝑂𝑈 have to be 𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑓𝑎𝑠𝑡 & 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑣𝑒 His Word.
