“So, let me tell you all about my date the other night! 🥰“
It was morning around 9 am when I decided to check the mail. When I opened the mailbox, there was a ton of mail in there. I thought to myself, maybe it’s a check in here for me. So, I sorted my mail from my roommate’s mail and no there was not a check in there for me y’all. But there was this fancy tan envelope with a heart on it, so I put it first. As I was walking upstairs, I opened it and it had big letters that said R.S.V.P and to do it by November 31, 2021. It seemed weird to me because it did not have a name nor an address on it.
I was about to throw the invitation away until I saw the back and it said: “Dearest Miranda” with a list of 7 things. Now if that is not weird, I do not know what is. The list had the following:
Bring the oil
Wear something comfortable
Have your Bible open to Jeremiah 33:3
Cancel all plans
Sit in the closet until I arrive
Now, does anyone know where I am going with this? 😉 If not, I'm going to keep going.
So time was passing by, and I did not know if I wanted to meet with this mystery man tonight or another night. But something told me to not put it off and just meet with him tonight. After my class was over, I took a shower and began to get ready for my date. I got the list of instructions and I followed them in the order they were written.
I was at step seven, and I thought, how is he going to know I am ready if I cannot call him. So, I sat there for about five minutes, and I decided to read the scripture he told me to turn to. The scripture was Jeremiah 33:3 and it read, “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which you do not know.”
I was puzzled and still thinking about what kind of date this was, but I obeyed the instructions. I began to call on the name of the Lord and you all would not believe how 𝑞𝑢𝑖𝑐𝑘 my date showed up! He showed up and showed out through me! I had a date with the Most High, and His name was 𝐺𝑂𝐷! He showed me things I never knew about myself and my surroundings. He taught me how important it is to make reservations with Him. Reservations where there are no distractions and I allow Him to take control for the evening. Now, who does not want a man like that?
I am saying this to someone who needs to set up a date with God so that He can reveal some things to you. You are missing what it is that God is trying to tell you because you are distracted. God does not ask for a lot of our time. If He has to send you an invitation for you to R.S.V.P with Him; then He really needs to see you.
It is okay to have dates with God. But my question to you is, when are you going to R.S.V.P with Him?
