The Start of MAW’s Journey..

Updated: Apr 2, 2020

The start of 2020 is when my life really changed... but for the better. October 2018 I lost my dad and November 2019 I lost my mother. Having to encounter losing both my mom and dad was something I never saw coming this soon. I thought time and time again about what I was going to do without them and I knew I could not do it on my own. I had no one to turn to and I cried myself to sleep every night, praying that God would just bring my parents back. Of course I knew that was not happening but it was all I wanted.

Before the year ended I decided to go to the cemetary and talk to my mom and dad, I just felt like it was the only thing that was going to help me. I spent hours there, crying, praying, and asking my parents and God for help and guidance. After leaving the cemetery I still felt like I had accomplished nothing. So I decided to go to my Aunts house and stay the weekend with her.

I began to talk to her about how I was feeling and she did not tell me what I wanted to hear but just what I needed to hear at that moment. It was night time, I put one of my moms dresses on to sleep in for comfort and I went to sleep.

I remember waking up at 7am wondering why I was up so early. I tried so hard to go back to sleep but I could not. So I heard a voice that told me to “get a Bible.” It really scared me because I did not know who it was so I laid there and tried to pretend as if I did not hear anything. Then immediately my ears started ringing and I could not hear anything. THATS WHEN I REALLY GOT SCARED 😳 and got my butt up. I was still lost as to what I was supposed to do with the Bible or where to go in the Bible. So I closed my eyes and asked God what He wanted me to do. God instructed me to go to Psalms, Proverbs, Isaiah, and St. John. After writing every scripture out that God has given me, I asked God what was I supposed to do with it. And He told me to put them in order, so I did. After putting them in order, I read them aloud and started crying and praising God!

What God had given me through His Word was what I needed. Those scriptures that God gave to me is whats carrying me day to day and it helped me through a really tough storm. (Posted under ”scriptures”)

My purpose for creating this is to share my journey with you guys about how God gives His toughest battles to His strongest soldiers and that He kept his promise when He said “He’ll be your mother when you are motherless and your father when you are fatherless.” And I thank God for keeping His promises and never leaving nor forsaking me.

Just follow my journey with Christ as I grow into the young lady that God has given a purpose and a plan to help his people.
